Clovis West students live by high standards.  Newsweek Magazine recently placed Clovis West in the 99th percentile academically. Clovis West was recently named the California Athletic School of the Year by CalHiSports for an unprecedented third time, after winning 9 Division Championships in 12 different sports. 

This broad success is the result of many factors, including dedicated administrators, teachers and coaches, hard work, and most importantly, an effective support system. Together, we insure that our student athletes are given every opportunity to reach their full potential, in and out of the classroom.  

The time commitment required of our student athletes to compete at these levels rivals that of most college programs.  With the help of parents and community leaders, our student athletes can take Clovis West’s reputation for excellence to a new level. 

Clovis Unified has integrated a Character Counts education program into its curriculum, teaching trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship.  Nowhere are these virtues instilled with more passion than the Clovis West football practice field, under the watchful eye of Head Coach Jim Hartigan.
